Thanks a lot! It is like several things. I thought about it, but Futoshi Shimano is also a tiger with a motif very similar to Taiga Saejima’s. You could even see it as a self insert, as I used to use a white tiger to represent myself

Mostly I just like the idea of Majima having a 200kg live Bengal tiger on the loose in his house to keep himself sharp.

I have a fondness for Oda that is powerful and probably unreasonable, given that he is kind of awful.

Then again, there is a simple litmus test for how likely it is that I will develop a powerful and unreasonable fondness for a character. It has one question.

Do they absolutely suck?

If the answer is yes, I probably love them already.
