This month I had the pleasure of reviewing the lovely #BOXMEUP up over and downunder subscription box, and I must say hands down this is one of the BEST boxes I’ve ever had. The box costs £14.95 + £2.90 shipping & there is an option for a one-off, a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription as well as various different gift boxes such as a bridesmaids box.

I’m usually more into beauty sub boxes but this just blew me away! Packaged so wonderfully and neatly, and smelling amazing due to some of the contents. It was delivered quickly, and containing so many lovely little gifts. I got a little bit of everything & was thrilled as you could tell from my unboxing video. My first item was the little box of coffee, which contained 5 sachets of coffee being super handy if you’re the only coffee drinker at home, or for taking on a weekend away so a large tub is not taken. The coffee itself I’ve only tried the decaf variety as there were 2 sachets of 5 and it was really good, not too strong, but strong enough as I’m not a huge coffee lover, and have to half lots of milk and sugar! This costs 3.50 for a box of 5 sachets.

Secondly, I got a little cuticle oil pen, which for me, was amazing, I am always being told by my nail technician how bad they are, so now I’ve no excuse for having dry cuticles even though I hate oil on my fingers. I will however persevere and keep using this, and the best thing about this item, is that it’s handbag sized! So I can take it wherever I go. This costs $5.76 I couldn’t seem to find this on a UK site.

Item number 3 was a gold and green enamel pin, which is perfect for this time of year pinned onto a jacket or scarf. This is not an item I would buy for myself but it is a really beautiful accessory to have. The cost of this, unknown.

My next item was a little packet of tie dye effect post it notes. These are so handy to write lists on for popping on the fridge or as a memo to remember something (or telling your partner to wash up or hoover) at the cost of £2.68.

The next item was a little soy wax melt from ‘The Little Melt Company’ in the scent of Pear & Freesia which smells amazing. This costs a tiny £1.80 and the smell it gives off, paired with the burning time is just fantastic! Highly recommend these to any one that loves candles as they come in a massive variety of scents.

My final item in this incredible box was a little ceramic heart shaped oil burner which is extremely pretty and pairs excellently with the wax melt, and looks great in my lounge. I found this for £6.99 online.

  The rough total of this box I would say is just over the £20 mark not knowing the exact cost of the nail pen in GBP or the cost of the pin. The monthly charge for this is £17.85 but £16.06 if our exclusive discount code is used.

Overall I am highly impressed with this box, and would certainly purchase it for myself or as a gift for a friend or family member. The price and quality of contents really puts it up there with one of the best boxes I’ve ever had so thank you very much Frankie & Naomi you both receive 10/10 for thought, presentation, care, speed in which it was sent out and received, and passion! It’s clear you worked really hard in piecing this box together, and I couldn’t love it any more if I tried I genuinely love and have tried everything! Thank you again.

Finally got around to redesigning the UI of Boxmeup. I used Twitter's bootstrap as a framework which really made it much simpler to do, just a lot of markup updates.

Next step will be to implement an oauth api to drastically simplify the api auth request signing.
