🌿Spellwork: Herb Amulets
Herb amulets are one of the easiest spellworks a witch can make. A herb amulet can be about anything and be filled with any herb of your choosing.
Note that the more an amulet is specific, the stronger it is. Think of it like multitasking and focused task. you may be great at keeping track of seven things, but when you only focus on one thing you exceptionally well. (ever tried doing school work while watching a TV show? Haha!)
Basically, herbs have corresponding meanings. Choose your herbs, as many or little as possible.
Put herbs into a morter and crush them till the aroma is released.
Place your crushed herbs onto a cloth (colour of your choosing).
Gather the cloth up and tie it together, you may use knot magic here.
Hang where you please or wear it.
Here's mine (and my mother's) and what I intend for it to do (and what she intends hers to do.
Mine is in the red cloth: I intend for it to give me good travels in my car as I wanted to hang it up in my car, as well as making sure that no matter where i go, i have a bit of a good breath with me.
Cinnamon: Adventure in life and travels.
Clovers: Gives dignity, avoids bullying.
Anise: Gives protection on travels.
Cardamom: Gives good breath and kisses.
My mother's in the blue cloth: She doesn't delve into witchcraft like I do, but she wanted to make an all around good feeling herb amulet for me.
Lavender: Kindness and love.
Cinnamon: Adventure in life and travels.
Coriander: Makes you rich.
Common Sage: Cleanses the room and brings good spirits.
Roses: Gives you kisses, hugs, and love.
Cardamom: Gives good breath and kisses.
Calendula: Sunshine and happiness.
Have fun!

Do you know anything about satchets? I'm a baby witch and am wanting to make something for my partner (who's also Catholic!), something that can represent love, safety and friendship, and longevity for our future family. I want to rpay over each item and light a candle, but other than colors and runes, I don't know anything about witchy meanings for herbs, crystals and charms. And finding a guide is proving to be very difficult :(
Let’s see…
Theses books that I like to recommend is Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs and The Spellcaster’s Reference by Eileen Holland. Both are good books for a jumping off point and doing research on certain things you want to work with.
That said, here’s what I would do if I was making this sachet.
Bright green bag
Day: 1st hour after sunrise on a Thursday
Ingredients:
Love: Jasmine, Rose, Lavender
Friendship: Lemon
Happiness: Dragons Blood, Lavender
Peace: Gardenia
Items:
Picture or prayer card of Holy Family
Picture of you and significant other
Holy spirit candle
Make sure you purify all of your items before you put in the bag. Then hold the bag between your hands and say a prayer for what the sachet is for. Lite the candle and I would put a picture next to the candle, then put the sachet either under picture or the candle. Hopefully this will help you get started and if you have any more questions you can privately dm me if you want.💕
Waste Away Hex
A popularly recorded spell, although not necessarily popularly performed (if only because of the time and expense demanded), the following was no doubt invented by the owner of a spiritual supply store wishing to drum up business quickly. Deriving from New Orleans, this spell has now passed into general Western magical lexicon.
Graveyard dirt is combined with a host of standard formulas: Asafetida powder, Babel powder, Black Cat Oil, Damnation Water, Four Thieves Vinegar, Goofer Dust, Jezebel Root Powder, Lost and Away Powder, Mummy Oil.
This blend is mixed with some item belonging to the spell’s target, as intimate as possible.
Placed in a small bag, it’s buried or hidden near the target’s home. The goal of this hex is to cause the victim to gradually waste away, becoming listless, passive, and losing vitality and life force.
