September BoxyCharm Thoughts
I genuinely couldn't wait for September's box to arrive. There were 6 items in the box in September and most of the items I was super excited to try so let's talk about what I thought about what came in my September BoxyCharm.
PUR Cosmetics Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette - I was so excited when I found out that this was going to be in the box. I know the shades aren't revolutionary but the formula of these shadows is pretty good. In fact, this is palette I used on my niece this last Saturday for her Homecoming makeup. The mattes blend out really nicely and the shimmers are really pretty. Definitely happy that this was in the box.
MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Lingering - This eyebrow pencil is supposed to be a soft taupe brown but it's more like a medium taupe brown on me which is actually a perfect shade for me. I have a love-hate relationship with MAC products so there was a 50% chance I would like this and luckily I did. I do wish it had a spooly but the color was a great match and the pencil applied easily and stayed on very well. I mean honestly, I won't buy another once this is gone but I love the ABH Brow Wiz more but the MAC pencil is still a really great eyebrow pencil.
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Strut - As I just stated in the previous post, I love the Ultra Satin formula but this shade just isn't for me. It's supposed to be a soft cool taupe which normally I like, especially paired with a warm eye to give a look some contrast but for whatever reason, I just didn't love this on me. On my niece, however, this looks amazing so it's not a total loss but I personally didn't love this shade.
Studio Makeup HD Powder - I hadn't really been using HD powder much for a while but I did try this one out and it's okay. It did what it's supposed to do so I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. It's just a typical HD setting powder.
Bodyography Brush Duo - This duo contains an angled brush and a small shadow brush. One of my favorite things to get in Boxycharm boxes is brushes because it does help me build my kit. The small shadow brush is amazing, I love that brush for applying powder shadows to my lid. The angled brush is okay. It works well enough for the brows but I love how it applied liner.
Briogeo Don't Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask - Since I use a color shampoo to put trendy colors in my hair, I need good conditioning masks to keep my hair from getting too dry. This mask is definitely a good one. I've noticed my hair feeling a lot softer after using this on it. In fact, I may buy another one of these when this one is gone.
Those were my September BoxyCharm Thoughts, next up will be a Love It or Leave It on the L'Oréal Infallible Paints Metallic Eyeshadows so until my next post.
Later weirdos,
Snow
