this might be a very controversial thing to say but it annoys me so bad when i hear people complain about ai using water when they don't do any actual research into things that also use it

the meat industry uses 200 times more water than the ai industry. Like i understand that veganism and vegetarianism isn't accessible to everyone but for the majority it absolutely is. Yes, boycott ai, but also actually take a second to think about the things that do even worse

I want to live past my 20s. I deserve to have a long life after fighting to live as who I am.

whatever you can do to help stop this, do it. encourage your friends and family to stop using AI. sign petitions and go to protests against data centres if you can.

i got feedback on an assignment today and my professor said that it was good except for that i should have disclosed how i used ai??? i fucking didnt ive never used ai i just wrote the text like a normal person and turned it in???? do i have to write that i didnt use ai on all assignments in the future???

saw you post on Twitter how ai writing tells are dumb because you write like that, and here to say kindly that you do not. At all, and I'd be surprised if anyone mistook your writing for machine made.

I still think that in many cases, distinct LLMs writing styles are *very* evident, even if it's really hard to point out why—because you're right, it's not just about rule of threes or staccato, or some semi colon and a hyphen—it's the soullessness of it all. Really i think it's a disservice to us writers (and readers) to say it's indistinguishable :(

I thank you for saying that, my friend. I think sometimes it's just so nerve wracking these days. It's so sad when you see authors taking down their works and orphaning their accounts because of this. Being a fic writer, while so rewarding and fun, is also hard work! We do not need this ai nonsense to make it even harder.
