Something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently is finding new friends. Another thing that always comes up is my want to meet more people in the deaf community.
I’m hearing but my partner is deaf and both of us have been isolated from others that know ASL for a few years now and our signing has become EXTREMELY lazy at this point. I feel like if I met a deaf/HoH individual irl at this point I would be a conversational disaster.
It’s always fun making new friends irl but it would also be nice to meet other people that can chat with both of us easily. (I also have the selfish reason of wanting to meet others so I can improve my signing cause I sign a little too close to just SEE and I wanna be more comfortable signing ASL and im not gonna get any better only reading one singular person’s signs especially since ik my partner well enough to just guess what he’s signing)
