Instructions of the Ivy

Take a walk in your neighbourhood. Pause when you pass an ivy shrub. Ask kindly whether you’re allowed to take a leaf. If granted, take one bright green ivy leaf home with you. At home, make a cup of tea. Sip your tea and think about a friend. Take your painting set and paint a message to the friend on the ivy leaf. Add their address and a stamp. Take another walk in your neighbourhood. Post the leaf.

I don't think the kiss was a temptation at all tbh. think of the ox rib scene, crowley offers it to aziraphale, and teases that he's free to choose, and only in the following scene he pokes fun at him ("see you in hell"). the kiss is more like one last desperate act before possibly never seeing him again? the promise of a human love (as opposed to restored angelic status)? an alternative to words that fail to express 6000+ years of relationship?

aziraphale's "i forgive you" is bitter and angry and lowkey passive aggressive, I am good, I'm an angel, I can forgive your sins, I forgive you for refusing my offer, for leaving me, for not being the person/angel I thought you were, for forcing yourself and your damnation on me, for going too fast for me
