Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is common in men and women. By age 50 about 60 % of men have significant genetic hair loss 30 % of women also have genetic hair loss by age 50. This photo shows some of the trichoscopic features of AGA. Variation in follicular size, short vellus hairs, single hairs and the brown peripilar sign.
