1. Death

He has a very healthy respect for it by now. Having died once, and having no plans to repeat the event, he knows that it’s nothing to play fast and loose with. Oddly enough, the idea of it never actually bothered him until he went through it, and that had more to do with seeing how it affected the people he loved. He’s always been self-sacrificial and never gave it much thought until after he came back from the dead.

In dealing with death itself, he’s not great with it. Part of this is because the two main instances where he’s known people who have died were because of Robotnik but he still blames himself for the events in question. He feels like it was his fault they passed and if he had been better they would have lived. 

22. Abuse

The only way this kind of factors into his life is the time he spent being experimented on and held captive by Robotnik. It was three months of literal hell for him, some of which he’s blacked out and other bits he remembers far too clearly. He was nothing but a plaything to the madman during that time, and it’s something he’d never wish on anyone.

42. Superstition

He’s not very superstitious, honestly. When it comes to bad luck, good luck, knocking on wood and breaking mirrors he thinks it all just a myth or people’s active imaginations. At the same time, he really doesn’t have much of a choice but to believe in ghosts, given that Tikal kind of is one. For everything else he thinks logic can explain most things, that or unusual circumstances, and there have been very few times he’s questioned his conclusion.
