I work in Theatre and it’s something I fell into when a Covid job ended. There, I’ve had a massive privilege of meeting some awesome actors but my favorite interactions have been meeting Star Trek actors.
They’ve all been so immensely kind and gracious. My favorite interaction was when I was greeting folks for our shows Opening Night, those are always star studded and I have to be on crazy fan look out (it takes one to know one). I see a tall older gentleman with white hair, glasses and a kind smile. I immediately clocked Brad Takei and my smile was huge.
I welcomed him and by name and he smiled and said would you like to meet George? Who he was walking arm in arm with and Introduced myself and he said hello I’m George.
I was on another plane at that moment. Simple nothing more to be said. Then Brad turned and said he’s never going to let me hear the end of it because you recognized me first!
I laughed so hard!!
My dad introduced me to all Star Trek iterations and I’d like to think in whatever way we exist after this life that it was felt how amazingly happy I was in the moment.
