“Strength in Times of Change” Autumn Knot Spell
Here’s a simple Knot spell to give you strength when things are changing too rapidly. I took inspiriation from autumn for to me, it is the season with the most visible change happening through it.
You will Need:
Red String/yarn (strength, power)
Yellow/cream string/yarn (flexibility)
Orange string/yarn (ambition, action)
Black string/yarn (banishing negativity, shapeshifting)
Brown string/yarn (stability, strength)
(optional) Empowering music to listen to
Now lay out your colors and cut them to equal lengths. I choose to make mine rather long so I could hang it over my bed when it is needed or wrap it a few times around my wrist as a bracelet. Now think of your intention, you want to be given strength during times of drastic or overwhelming change so you can power through them. Tie the threads or yarn together storing this intention into the first knot.
Spread out the colors so that there is two on one side and three on the other. The side with three take the outside string and place it over on the other side on the inside. Now take the outside one that was originally two strands, but now is three and put it to the inside of the other side. Repeat this process of always taking the outside string of the side with 3 and putting it on the inside of the other side. While you braid think of your intention and the strength you want to have. Listen to empowering music if you wsih during this time or empowering speeches. Whatever makes you feel strong and confident. I recommend if you are doing a long braid like I was to tape one end of it down carefully to a table to help hold it in place.
Once it is all braided think about the energy that autumn has. The strong winds and the refreshing rain. Take this energy and visualize it forming in your fingers as you tie the final knot. This energy will aid your own to help you adjust to the change. Trim the end to be long enough so you can tie it to the other if you are making a bracelet or necklace. I personally keep my trimmings if they are about an inch long for use in other spells in the future.
Now wear this braid or place it somewhere in your home to give you strength when you need it and to help you adjust to big changes in your life. Blessed be everyone!
