“i told you not to come back for me!”   when the shots started, he had sent emily away.  the streets of chicago always had guns going off on every corner.  the last thing deacon wanted to do was fire off a deadly shot, but with other, innocent bystanders around, he was forced to take a shot at the assailant’s leg ― taking him down successfully.   “go see if she’s okay,”   he gestured toward a woman who went down by the perp’s gun, as he went to collect him in handcuffs.

‘ there is never an end ’

           if anyone knows this , its the profiler  .  there never is truly an end to any of the torment  .  it all comes in waves ,  it may offer reprieve for a few short weeks but it eventually circles back like some kind of cosmic joke boomerang  .  ❝  all we can do is to keep HOPING that one day that end might finally arrive . . .  because if it doesn’t then what’s the point  ??  ❞  that’s all malcolm bright has been working from for twenty years . the hope that one day things will get better  .  and of course ,  he’s still waiting  .

                    when deacon arrived home, he hadn’t expected to find her passed out on his couch.  his shift had been relatively tame, which always a blessing but could also be very boring.  setting his keys and bag down, he made his way to the couch, sitting on the edge next to her.   “hey, sleepyhead.”   he said, softly, offering a smile.   “what did you get into today that has you already passed out?”

              nights have been rough for finding sleep  .  it’s been DAYS since the god of thunder any sort of peaceful sleep  .  anytime he closes his eyes , there’s only thanos and that phrase on repeat . ‘should have went for the head ‘ it haunts him every single night . all the lives lost because he’d let his VENGEANCE cloud his judgment . 

finally , the fatigue has taken its hold on the god ,  caused him to shut his eyes for only a few moments and when he opens them again  ??  night has fallen and his neck feels extremely stiff from where he’s been leaning against the wall with arms folded across his chest  .  thor clears his throat and lifts himself to his feet  . there is no time for rest , not when so many people have disappeared at the hand of thanos  .  

the world’s population may be diminished by half but now its time to try and pick up the pieces  . ❝  i was uh ,  just resting my eyes  . i was informed that i look like hell so i couldn’t have that could i ?  ❞ an attempt at a joke and if only the sleep he did manage to get was useful for anything other than making him feel worse  .

SHE’S  AN  ANNOYANCE, and  unfortunately,  they will     NEVER     be on  the  same side  of  the law.  It’s  HUMID in  Charming  the mid-morning  hit  hits      90  degrees     ,        and it  doesn’t  make this  run  in ANY  easier.  He      ASSUMES       that  she had  HOPED  to find  them  transporting GUNS  on  this particular  run.  SAMCRO stopped  at  the halfway  point,  IT’S  TOO  DAMNED HOT  TO  RIDE. Clay  needed  to rest  arthritic  hands. The     lot      of them  AMUSED  at her  persistence,  and  Jackson  in particular     can’t  help      but  shake  head.  ‘  What did  you  expect Em  huh  ?  ’  NOW the  two  of them  have  had VARIOUS  run  ins, and  so  ? Words  convey  a sort  of  teasing as  he  hides behind  baseball  cap.  ‘  You keep  chasin’  us  . . .  SOME people  may  think you  got  a bit  of  a THING  for  one of  us  ’ Jackson  leaning  in as  a  GRIN splits  lips,  and that  grin  falls as  easily  as   CRIMSON  RED.  ‘  C’mon  which one  of  us  is  it  ?  Promise  my feelings  won’t  be hurt  ’  

              Little  does she  know  that they’re  missing  a  few  guys, a  few  NOMADS who  had  been so  generous  as  to  SPLIT from  group,  and head  towards  the  drop-off  point. Jackson  has  to say  he  DOES have  some  respect for  her,  it takes  BALLS  to  come  after  SAMCRO,  hell       H A L E      had  never been  able  to make  any  CHARGES stick,  and  lord knows  UNSER  has been  paid  off. It’s  nice  to see  a  sense of  HONOR,  a sense  of  CODE.
