It had been a s l o w day & Shinsou was glad for the peace. The gorgon needed a good nap, to SAVE energy so he could escape this hellhole for poor creatures, such as himself. Hitoshi knew mostly humans with oddities “worked” here, but these sly freakshow running-fuckers had CAUGHT some other beings, like what he had HEARD the other day, keening noises of a kitsune. Hopefully not much more was caged.
The lilac-sapphire scaled serpent MANAGES to shift in his cage and get rather comfortable in the corner, the sun’s rays keeping his body w a r m. It was SOOTHING, and he had even wiggled his blindfold off to see. It was a nice day.
It had been out of some kind of twisted curiosity which had brought Kanna to this place, the freakshow having arrived in town barely a week ago. While monsters weren’t necessarily rare, it certainly didn’t happen often that one got to see them without the fear of ending up being mangled by them. It was hard to say, what exactly the redhead had expected to see upon visiting this place... but whatever it was, it certainly hadn’t been this.
Cage after cage, most of them only barely equipped what was necessary for their inhabitants to be comfortable. And the creatures inside... it was depressing, honestly. And even more so when Kanna realised, that many of those so-called ‘freaks’ were in fact human, rather than monsters. Not that it would have changed anything about how poorly they were being treated, of course... but still, it came as an unpleasant surprise.
Kanna didn’t know what made her stop in front of this particular cage. Maybe it was the fact, that this one had somehow managed to get rid of his blindfold, resting in a sunny spot and seeming almost comfortable. It was a small solace after seeing all those other miserable people, but it was enough to make the young woman pause at his cage momentarily.
Hesitating, she took a second to look around and ensure nobody else was paying attention. There weren’t many visitors around this time, and most of the staff was staring off into the distance with a bored expression or talking with each other, but still... she’d prefer not to get into any trouble. After making sure nobody was watching, Kanna returned her gaze to the gorgon in front of her, clearing her throat nervously.
