Veronica finally made it to her destination, Bram’s house. She smiled as she reached the front door. God, she missed him. Throughout her life, people always asked her if her family treated her differently since she was adopted. Sort answer?? No. In fact if they never even told her she was adopted, she wouldn’t know, she wouldn’t even question it. Bram was a prime example of that, he never treated her differently or ignored her. He was everything she wanted and needed in a brother. Losing him would be the final nail in the coffin. She didn’t want to lie to him but if he knew why she was here, he wouldn’t hesitate. She would rather have stayed with her ex for a lifetime than lose Bram.
Veronica unlocked the door quietly and slowly as she could. The only people that knew she was coming were her parents. She wanted to surprise everyone. From the sound of everything it looked like he was either in the shower or is room. She put her bag down by the door and immediately went into the fridge of her bachelor brother. She eventually found some pizza and proceeded to lay on the couch and watch tv. She heard a sound coming from out of her vision. “Pizza is not a balanced diet and I’m praying to every god there is that nobody is up there or this is going to be awkward.” She said before fully turning around. “Missed me?”
