Hello!! Its been a bit! I've been trying to take it slow with comic making (at least to this degree) to help with the burnout I had had a bit ago. I wanted to get this out a while back but I ended up running into an issue with drawing Faron. Uh she sucks, anyway.

Surface too Soon/Branching Timeline Zelda being pretty~

This was made as practice and celebration since @attllhak has added Surface too Soon to AO3 and now a bunch more people will get to see their wonderful work!!

did two diff versions as I'm pretty sure STS Zelda's outfit is blue, while in Branching Timeline, tho not mentioned or colored, her outfit is green. As much as I love how she looks in blue it doesn't really make sense that her outfit would be blue if her and Link were in the same graduating class and that year the knight outfits were green lol.

Colors aside attllhack does amazing work with the story and I'm very much looking forward to where it goes and all the new AO3 peeps seeing it!

#my art #skyward sword #surface too soon #branching timeline #surface too soon au #zelda skyward sword #she so pretty tho #im excited for more people to see sts #ive been itching to get back to BT but i wanna finish up these next two updates of dtbs first #plus theres the issue of how im going to present this next part #cuz they need to get to faron but i dont wanna yada yada too much of how they get there #cuz they gotta swim right?#but only links got the scale #im sure ill figure it out #also the whole knight outfit color thing is a tiny pet peeve of mine #only cuz it doesnt make sense story wise #at most she'd either have a lighter or darker color green #or maybe an offcolor like seen with pipit and karane #who have similar colors tho pipit has a green tinged yellow and karane has a yellow tinged green #maybe tinge isnt the right word but you know what i mean #so if you wanted Zelda to have more of a blue color it'd either be a green color with the tinge/undertone of blue or vice versa #cuz the colors dont have to do with who's wearing it but with whatever color they chose for that year #tho you could make the argument that the reason Zelda has blue and not green is because blue was the color for the previous year #and she's already graduated to the senior class #which is why she doesn't have to participate in the wing ceremony which determines who graduates #which is a weird graduation system but ok lol #and that would make sense then but there also again the case of pipit and karane #who have the yellow and light green respectively #unless they are both 2 or more years above her #she would have either a yellow uniform or light green since she would've graduated in the same year as them (if thats possible idk)

A Goddess and a Hero

He got something in his eye lol-

My new phone stylus came in today so I decided to play around with a Hylia and Matdas idea that's been swimming around in my head for a while. That being Hylia's tendency to just grab Matdas by his whole face to make sure he hasnt hurt himself again.

#hylia and first #first hero #branching timeline #hylia #skyward sword manga #kind of #skyward sword #i mean i am taking things from both the game and the manga #for their story #and certain things in branching timeline #this would take place after the first time Hylia had to do a secret thing #which is why his hair is fading from black to blonde #there are like 2-3 instances in which he needs her help and eventually it ends with him having blond hair #his hair is also more wild as a blond #when hes still got raven hair its like more tame unless its swept up by the wind #and then as a blond its more floofy but that may just be the tiny bits of magic stuck in his head lmao #hes basically the opposite of dtbs where instead of his hair being wild when its dark its wild when its lighter lol #also when it comes to eachother Matdas and Hylia just forget what personal space is and theyre both okay with it #at least with eachother #which is why shes so close #and of course grabbing him by his whole face #this piece was actually part of a comic but i also wanted to color this so i pulled the panel and made this lol #ill finish the comic later #also hylia looks shorter here shes just leaning down and matdas is kind of on his toes lol

@attllhak ‘s Surface too Soon inspired Branching Timelines Link’s full outfit! That is a mouthful but it is the proper title lmao, but yeah, even after this series of events Link insists on continuing his role as the faux Goddess so Zelda takes it upon herself to craft him armor befitting both a Goddess and a Knight, using the old torn ceremonial dress he had before as the main tunic, the other parts were stolen from skyloft

I tried to do a mix of both of Zelda’s Goddess attire (the costume at the beginning and the dress the rest of the game) with the standard knight outfit, also including some elements from other things such as the bird that usually has the triforce above it (i do not know what it’s called) and the triforce earrings which were inspired by this design for @blueskittlesart own little role swap thing (they have a lot of cool art go follow them please) Showing this off here as in the main little comic thing it’s gonna be way simplified to ease my suffering, in this attire he wields the Goddess Sword and the Goddess Shield (the fully upgraded version of the Sacred shield) Again this wonderful outfit and au was inspired by @attllhak fic Surface too Soon, which was inspired by @tortilla-of-courage
