i really like this thing where websites will have separate "log in" & "sign up" buttons and if you click "log in" it takes you to a sign-up screen anyway so you have to click "i already have an account" and then it will ask if you want to sign in with your facebook account or with instagram or linkedin or deviantart or whatever, and if you choose "username & password" it asks if you want to put in your username or use your thumbprint, and once you put your username & password it emails you a confirmation code, and once you put in the code it says "do you want to give us your phone number for future sign-ins? do you want to sign up for facial recognition? do you want to give us your bones? give us your fucking bones?

if you by any chance wonder just how insane I am: I animated the whole thing last night out of nowhere. Just sat down at 9pm for a quick drawing sesh and didn't raise my head till 2am (I did take a break to record myself spinning a pillow for a reference, probably the only reason my back is still functioning)

first sketch. just basic poses and emotion (and clothes and hair and-)

first rough. Sun's hair felt a little off, so I decided to FINALLY go to sleep and see if I could fix it the next day..

..and I think I did. It's definitely more flowy, just the way I like it. I also added a little more frames for Sky in the beginning

media literacy would automatically go up 100% if people knew how to consume stories without self-inserting themselves into the characters' shoes. "if i were him..." you're NOT. you may relate to his story, his past, his traits, his quirks, his identity but the moment you start treating the story accepting what you feel/think as what the character feels/thinks, you're misunderstanding the story.

Hey, can I ask you a question regarding commissions? How do you trust people overall and where? Because I had a dialogue with a fraud a couple of days before in DS, so now I’m kinda afraid to be open for commissions, but I really want to.

Luckily for me, most of my commissions have been people I know, so I have had an easy time trusting people due to that fact, but I've also had a few strangers as well.

I think selling anything online whether it's a self made product, or maybe like a second hand item is always going to be a somewhat scary thing to do. You never truly know who is going to try and scam you but I have a few safety measures in place for people I don't know in terms of protecting myself and my income.

I usually converse in places where the information can be easily saved and recorded, like an email chain, discord, or here on Tumblr where messages aren't deleted 24 hrs after they're posted. For massive commissions exceeding 100 dollars, unless the person is someone I know, I get half up front, or all up front before completing the commission that's so I know they're not trying to scam me out of my money.

There is a known scam with PayPal (which I do use but I haven't had issues yet) where they'll send money and then instantly try to claim fraud after the commission is completed, I think taking the money first and then completing the commission some time after helps prevent that. And asking for money up front can prove whether or not they're serious about the commission or trying to get free art out of you or something else you know? I've had someone want a commission until I asked for payment upfront and then suddenly they didn't want it anymore.

I also understand people who have money troubles wanting a commission and are not able to give payment upfront, but then that's just going to have to be a situation where if you don't know them and they want a commission they will have to wait to have the money first. Both protecting you from possibly getting scammed, and them if they are truly struggling so they can still eat and stuff you know?

Back to communication really fast, I really like discord for the fact that it's a bit difficult to find people if you don't already know them and if you're blocked it's nearly impossible then. So if a convo does go south do not fear the block button is here!

meme phrases are so mobile and versatile and that's really really beautiful but i'm always thinking about the first "she x on my y til i z" being "she ebbin on my neezer til i scrooge" and the first "fork found in kitchen" coming from a tweet about sehun from exo being spotted at a gay bar. like sometimes you just utterly nail it the very first time and no variation of the joke is going to be better.

I actually learned a fun therapy trick for this!

The statute of limitations on arson is 6 years.

So whenever I remember an embarrassing or shameful thing I’ve done, I ask myself if it was worse than arson. If it wasn’t, and it was 6 or more years ago, I forgive myself.

Also just the comedic shock of going “well, that was a stupid and mean thing I said, but 6 years is the statute of limitations on arson” helps.
