I also forgot to mention in my ask earlier In italy, any cough, cold or fever could be helped by some milk and honey. It gets to the point to a friend of mine refused to take medication for a sinusitis because she was already taking honey (me and my family all hate honey so I was spared the pain) And this is more a thing of my family, but until recently we didn't have enough space in the freezer for just ice, so on bruises as a kid we would put frozen veggies
oh yeah, frozen vegetables, frozen meat, frozen kluski, the whole lot.
Happy ending for Knoll for @brand-dad
Knoll had given up. Lyon's dream was dead, Grado destroyed.
And yet... and yet he didn't let go, or better, the people he got to meet in this incredible if not bizarre journey didn't let him. They latched onto him, like he had latched onto his dead King and his dead dream, but these people are not dead; their hearts beat and there's light in their eyes.
Now... he doesn't know if he has a purpose yet but he has friends, maybe even a family, and if anything, he is curious to see where this path will lead them - to the reconstruction of Grado, he hopes, in honor of the dream that was so dear to him.
about your rivough post... its possible that the rivough chief had beef with granbell and not darna itself. if we take the narrator's bias towards granbell/agustria/lenster as them being from one of those nations (i subscribe to the theory that the narrator is finn, because i find it thematically appropriate, even if there is no evidence), those three nations seem to have kind of monopolized the crusader's cult (cont)
(notice how they all talk big about their crusader lineage making all their actions justified, but places like thracia and isaach are considered barbaric despite being founded by crusaders too). for rivough to attack darna could be seen as attacking a symbol of that view (kinda like a terrorist attack?). of course that doesnt make the action any better
i was going to answer this weekend but i had to go to Versailles and fuck this city so i need some rivough thoughts to function again

maille is a pain in teh ass to draw, gambeson for the win
I am actually really fond of gambesons too! but maile protects the gambeson from being damaged LOL
I have some cheats so it doesn’t look that much like maile right now but it will once it’s colored (hopefully, trying out something new right now)
sigurd might be good hearted, but both him and deirdre lack enough insight to be good rulers imo. there's a reason why sigurd was so easily manipulated into conquering half the continent, and trusting someone who seems to have turned back on their allies at least two times was, to put it harshly, quite dumb (though understandable given sigurd's bad situation at the moment). he's way too ruled by emotions to be an effective ruler
But Sigurd wasn’t manipulated, at all. He was following orders, and somehow he couldn’t maintain order in Agustria for just a year’s time? He has the army on his back, and he couldn’t handle some officials? Could has easily rationalized his actions under the basic imperative given to him by Belhalla as “governing the people.”As for Alvis, Sigurd asks Claude his opinion and the net answer is “IDK.” There is no reason for Sigurd to believe that Alvis would betray him. Yes from an audience perspective it’s quite obvious, but to be fair there has never been a moment where Alvis has even been anything but courteous to Sigurd. I will give the whole “we knew you were innocent the whole time” thing is a bit too clean for me to buy, but again is kind of a case where the audience knows more than the player does. It’s kind of like Palpatine, we know Palpatine is the Sith Lord but from an in-universe perspective it’s genuinely hard to believe that Palpatine is the Sith Lord. So yeah, Sigurd’s actions are dumb but from his perspective? Less so?TLDR; I don’t think Sigurd’s flaw is that he’s necessarily easily manipulated. He’s just not a person who cant do politics, he’s a knight. He would make for a great general but not all generals can actually rule.
ace arvis!
Here you are!
Happy Birthday @brand-dad
I’m so happy to draw Galzus because Mareeta is one of my absolute faaaavourite characters and drawing her papa is an honour! Plus, drawing Thracia characters is always a pleasure!
Hope you had a terrific day! <3
