Branislav Ivanovic prepares to come on, 23rd minute:
Me: OH MY GOD I FORGOT BRANA WAS ON WBA. Brother: Haha, yes, bring on Brana. Why is he not starting? Me: Also way to get the arse shot of Brana, the man with the largest arse in the PL. Brother: I think the cameraman did a good job scouting WBA. So far he's gotten the classic shot of Big Sam, Brana's bald spot, and a Brana ass shot.
25th minute:
Me: With Brana on, Thiago isn't even the oldest man on the pitch anymore. Brother: Who do you think is older? Brana or Thiago Silva? Me: Ha ha, I just answered that for you.
Ivanovic is down, 35th minute:
Me: Zero WBA players care Brana is injured. Meanwhile, César is the one hovering over him asking if he's okay. Also this match is insane. Brother: I'm sure Big Sam is going to react well to César and Brana cracking up. Me: He was probably going to sub Brana off just for that even if he hadn't been injured. Brother: Two subs in the 35th minute is the set up for an outfield player being the keeper. That's my dream situation, so early subs always make me think of it. Me: It's too bad Brana is off because you know he would love to be a keeper. Also I'd like to think that Brana wanted to even up the odds for us by burning through an extra WBA sub. He should've tried to get sent off, though. Brother: That would have been funny if, as he was walking off, he told the ref he fouled Timo on that and that he deserved a red for it.
A year ago we sat in the same place and I can only say one thing - I love him more, respect him more. I hope this is not the last thing he said in football, that he will play for a long time, exist for a long time in football, in Russia, everywhere. Dinosaurs, like him, still exist on our planet.
