i’m going into my sophomore year and it’s gonna be my third year in band and fourth year in percussion. i was in pit last year and the only time I marched was at a Disneyland parade pretending to play trombone. Is learning field shows & stuff hard?

Aww that's cool! Every four years my band takes a trip to Flordia and marches in a parade at Disney World that'll be my Senior year!

Tbh, you run through it so many times that I could probably still march my freshman year show. It's hard but not like frusturatingly hard, it's just a lot of hardwork, as long as you pay attention to what's happening around you and you have a visual of what the form is supposed to look like and where you fit in you can do it pretty easily.

No I'm going into my Junior year

I played Clarinet from 4th to 7th grade and switched to Trumpet 8th grade year

Eh, my only problem is that I don't have a ton of endurance, I would probably have more if I hadn't switched to Trumpet only 3 years ago but still.

Oo, that's cool! I've never been a huge Jazz fan, I don't mind listening to it I'm just not a fan of playing it. 

At least you don't have to completely relearn how to hold your embouchure :)

Cause I switched to Trumpet from Clarinet so I know how hard it is to switch from a woodwind to a brass
