Remember the very poor condition half customised doll bundle I bought? Remember this girl specifically with her hair glued to her hacked off stubble and her clothes glued to her body?
Well here she is now:
I kept her glued on hair because removing it was too much work but I did pull off the few straggling bits on the right hand side and move them over to the left. I also added some yarn I had in my stash to fill in gaps and fill it out a bit. For her stubbled but bald side I couldn't remove the glue so I elected to glue little pieces of the same yarn to the glue layer to work almost like flocking. And yes, I know her body doesn't match her head. This is how she came and I don't have any spare pale bodies so she's going to have to make do. We can just pretend like she's wearing pale foundation or something. I went with a gothy look because I felt it would suit the big flat face but also it meant I could get away with no eyebrows hahahaha. Eyebrows are my nemesis.
I'm crazy happy with how she came out. Painting her took a while and was frustrating because the black has dried out, my paintbrush is bent and the yellow for her eyes refused to show the fuck up. *sigh*
but here she is and i'm actually really shocked it's the same doll. I mean she was a wreck. And while i'm certainly going to nitpick every flaw the more I stare at her, I am very pleased that i've given her some personality and brought her back from being basically trash.
