Good morning ✌. A quick post here. Since plants do not have eyes 😜, in #photography it is challenging to decide a focal point in the image. This will affect what aspects will be in focus. In a case like this one, I was just searching for subjects and I spotted this bundle of #berries from an #invasive #BrazilianPepper . Also I decided not to follow the rule of thirds and since the berries are scattered throughout the image, I opted to get as many of them in focus. All along, I was planning to apply selective coloring to the final product as a way to experiment with the #Gimp software. As I was about to press the shutter button, this tiny #fly litterally "photobombed" my #photo 😂. Although the culprit does not display much detail, it is a great addition to the image 🙌. Have been trying to figure out a way to integrate text into these pieces, and I'm still not totally sure, so went with word bubbles. Brazilian Pepper detail, watercolor and ink. The Brazilian Pepper is classified as a category one invasive species for central and southern Florida covering hundreds of thousands of acres of habitat. Birds such as the beautiful Cedar Waxwing consume the berries and deposit them over vast areas during their yearly migration. The waxwing is infamous for overdoing it a little bit, eating enough berries to get drunk off the fermentation in their stomach and then flying to their deaths straight into buildings.
