heres big long post about prom and my weekend and how everything is great even when it snows on prom night
So Friday night Sam came over and we hung out and ate thin mints and watched Trouble With the Curve with my mom. It was a jolly good time and we made lots of puns and poked fun at everything.
Saturday morning I got up and dragged my butt to science olympiad practice and made a decent amount of progress on my events. Ate more thin mints and spilled and entire box of gobstopper, no big deal.
From there I headed over to Anna's house and she did my hair for me because she's really nice and good at doing hair. Then I went home and had a little snack and hung around until Mina got here.
Mina came over and we got ourselves all dolled up and put our dresses on and all that and ate some casserole since neither of us really had lunch. We did some pictures and waited for the others.
Sam showed up and we exchanged corsages and boutineers and all that fun stuff, did some pictures, and joked around like the huge dorks we are. Then Jenna and Jared showed up to do their pictures and get ready to go to dinner. woohoo!
We all piled into our respective cars and went to dinner at my favorite little italian restaurant in the old market. We met up with Matt and his girlfriend and everything was delicious. We ate, we talked, we laughed, it was really nice and then we headed out into the cold to trek our way over to the Western Heritage Museum for the dance. Oh also, thank you to the nice restaurant employee who came after us because Elizabeth forgot her car keys and Jared forgot his credit card and those are kind of important things.
We go to the dance and talked to friends, drank punch, talked to more friends, laughed at the really awkward guy working the coat check, danced for a while, laughed a lot, watched some great people get crowned king and queen, more socializing, and then heading back to the cars.
We headed back home and lounged around at my house waiting for after prom to start, changed clothes, and headed up to the school to party all night. And by party I mean eat a lot of free food, play a lot of easy games and win prizes, race through giant bouncy obstacle courses, ride mechanical bulls, eat more free food, and go watch a hypnotist. I spent most of after prom with my sister and our friends and it was a lot of fun. Fun people make for fun times.
I got home around 4am and I got up about an hour ago at 3pm to go eat breakfast. I took full advantage of the one day my mom let me sleep as long as I wanted. I'm going to see the Lion King in a few hours and I'm really excited about that, this weekend was just all around really good and I'm so glad I got to share it with so many awesome people.
Shout out to all of my friends who made this weekend so much fun. Everyone is awesome and I love everyone a whole lot. Woohoo. Sorry this post was really long and not really funny or anything. I'm not really sorry though and I'll probably post a whole bunch of pictures later.
