I don’t know “damn well” how people feel about it because I only watched ST last December and barely interact with the fandom aside from reblogging a gifset every now and then.

Sorry but I don’t think a half assed “I never said what I did was okay” counts as an actual apology. And even if he did, I am still allowed to be uncomfortable with his actions, because they were creepy.

I was not in the Jancy tag. You searched for posts containing Jancy and this post contained it, but that’s not the same as a tag. You not knowing how the search system works is not my problem.

I have no idea why you are bringing Steve up since I did not mention him but fine. And while I do like Steve I think he was a jerk for most of season 1 but then he actually did start to change, buying Jon a new camera, cleaning the graffiti. If you can’t defend Jonathan on his own grounds, you do not have an argument.

Also I don’t think it’s fair to call Nancy heartless. Yes she mis-handled breaking up with Steve but she’s 16, her best friend died & she thinks it’s her fault, she’s been fighting literal monsters and has no one to talk to about it. No wonder she got drunk and blurted it all out.

I’m sorry but age doesn’t excuse leading someone on, cheating on them and then letting them believe it was their fault. Nancy could be 17 or 70, it doesn’t matter, the fact is she was heartless towards Steve, she let him believe she chose him and that they were happy and stable, when in reality Steve was her second choice and the whole time they were in a relationship she was wishing that she was with Jonathan and then she broke Steve’s heart and jumped into bed with Jonathan two seconds later, without even breaking things off with Steve first.

I don’t think Nancy was stringing Steve along, or at least she didn’t meant to. I think for a while thought she loved him or could love him, but in the end they just didn’t understand each other

I’d believe this more if she hadn’t stayed with him for a full year, I mean, if it had just been a couple of months I could buy that she wasn’t deliberately leading him on but no one is so unaware of their own feelings that they would stay in a relationship they didn’t want for a full year unless they were deliberately stringing their partner along. Also, we saw her say “I love you” to Steve and then two days later refuse to say it, showing that she had been deliberately lying to him about that.
