Great Tag Wave Collage of bread tags. Today's recycled piece from 2017. Inspired by Hokusai's Great Wave woodblock print. This piece has also done a bit of travelling. It was exhibited at @theotherartfair 2017 as part of my Celebration Art series. Although people did question the celebration of a bread tag. It's about the more humble celebration of daily life. Plus I really wanted to make this artwork. For quite a while I collected the tags. The only paint on the artwork is the dark blue of Mt Fuji. It then went on to the SCRAP exhibition in Swanpool 2018 and then into storage, I think it needs a home now not a box in my studio.
