"I'll do it," Hale said.

"Huh?" The offer surprised Stiles more than it probably should have. Maybe Hale really had decided to stop acting like a dick.

"I'll heal faster if I get thrown across the room and break something."

"True."

Hale reached for the door.

"Wait."

Hale's hand paused just above the handle.

"Let me check for any magical surprises first."

"And how many times have done that already?"

It didn't sound like Hale expected an answer, but Stiles answered anyway. "The magic all runs together. There might be something-"

Hale rolled his eyes and kicked the door down.
