A vintage chrome postcard of the Breakers Hotel‘s “spacious, tropical, indoor-heated Sea Water Swimming Pool” in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is a Tichnor Gloss postcard published by Tichnor in the 1950s or 1960s.
2019 September 06 - hurghada
Just before the party started by Michael Steighner Via Flickr: "The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." - Oprah Winfrey If the day goes as planned, there is a little window of time...quiet time.....just before the guests arrive. After the band has sound checked, the wait staff has finished laying the flatware, the lighting is focused (thanks to my HyLite Team), and the florist has left the building, the creation for the night is ready to be photographed. Its like a playground for the camera photographer! My only regret is that I didn't capture a few "before" or "without the event lighting" shots. (I really need to remember to so that!) Still amazes me what is created in such a short amount of time for one night!
Who doesn't love Hawaii? Waikiki beach is beautiful. You can be there all the time if your hotel is only a few blocks away!
Breakers...and Vanilla Ice
As a wanna be travel junkie, I can't pass up a free trip. Even to Florida...in June...with humidity. My friend Jeff won a trip to Palm Beach Florida & a meet & greet with Vanilla Ice. Yes...Ice, Ice, Baby Vanilla Ice.
Jeff won an all expense paid trip for 2 to Palm Beach Florida - 2 nights at the Breakers Hotel, Airfare, Transportation, some water tour, & spending cash.
How can I say no to staying here? www.thebreakers.com
I was sold on the trip after checking out the Breakers website. I'm a hotel junkie - I watch any hotel show (my favorite are the Samantha Brown series). The rooms look amazing and I've never been to the Florida coast before (usual trip to Florida is Disney World).
Anyways back to the trip, I can't say i'm a little excited to meet Vanilla Ice. I have watched the Vanilla Ice project on DIY network a few times. What questions should we ask? Should we quote some Vanilla Ice lyrics? Should Jeff wear the parachute pants?
More posts to come for this trip...
