The Byers being there for breakfast gives us a pretty clear hint they are sleeping over at the Wheelers. So…
Homeboy's mental health may be deteriorating. Now listen, I understand that sounds like a really big leap, and it could totally just be a pot of coffee. However, it's off, for reasons unknown, that he's singled out. When we've seen him eating breakfast after sleeping over at the Byers' California house in S4, his usual choice would be a glass of OJ.
Then as we all know, we cure exhaustion with coffee and use it to stay up or keep awake. When the Wheelers were last seen having breakfast, Nancy and the gang watched over Max. She was found at the breakfast table not having slept because they were "blasting music in her ears" to keep her awake. At the breakfast table, she drew Vecna's mind palace and his floating door. Because Mike closely parallels Max in S4 (letters, false confessions, outfit, etc), and it's his door floating in the field, I am starting to wonder if we are getting the ol' bait'n'switcheroo.

I was never truly a firm believer in Mike being the one to get Vecna'd. Yet, have we been lead to believe that Vecna will target Will after building up themes of shame, guilt, and homophobia, then come to find out all of the foreshadowing (like #birthdaygate) will actually be revealed for Mike's sake? Likely.
Hmm, just some coffee and contemplation…
