Blue-and-white porcelain comprises the largest as well as the oldest group of Chinese export wares made for the West. When shown to best advantage, it is grouped in a mass, as it is here in an English breakfront. The horn chandelier is antique Austrian; the pine table was made by the owner from old closet doors taken from an eighteenth-century house when it was demolished.
