Kirk gives Spock a kiss on shoreleave. They’re in a greenhouse or a glasshouse because I’m obsessed and can’t be stopped.
Breaking Artblock | Part 20
I know every artist who watches 3% draws this scene, but there’s a reason for it. I probably drew this about a year ago.
Breaking Artblock | Part 5
Out Of Darkness
I am absolutely weak for fics where the crew go to visit Kirk while he’s recovering in a biobed after the events of Into Darkness. Here’s Kirk kissing Sulu on the temple.
Thanks for following me and listening to my ramblings during artblock. I’ve got a lot going on right now and a lot of pressure to be creative in other areas of my life, so it’s nice to always have star trek to come back to to unwind.
Posting this purely because I don’t remember if I ever posted it before. I actually drew this in 2020, so it has no business still being in my art folder.
Breaking Artblock | Part 19
“Well, this is a highly-specialised environment,” she says. “Perhaps they’re not calibrated for it. We have a lot of sensitive equipment in here- climate controls, water-reclamation devices, you name it.”
The man gets closer.
“Think of it as a closed eco-system,” she continues, with a smile. “We tolerate very little waste. I’m sure you can understand why.”
Hikaru takes a half-step backwards, almost tripping on their abandoned tricorders, as Jim stumbles into him with a huff. “Maybe,” Hikaru concedes. “Unless someone’s equipped this greenhouse with a localised signal-blocker.”
Her eyes narrow. “Now, why would someone do a thing like that?”
Hikaru is walking backwards now, his arm tight around Jim’s waist. “I can think of a few reasons.”
A door opens somewhere, and Hikaru turns his head. There are at least three other people in the greenhouse, all dressed in dark clothing, and carrying what could be gardening equipment- but, if it is, it’s nothing he recognises.
“To hide, ah, dangerous plants?” She asks, with a small laugh. “Tell me, how are they dangerous, exactly?”
Hikaru can no longer tell whether he’s pulling Jim along, or if Jim is pushing him. “They’re highly toxic.”
The woman trails after them. “Well, no one here seems to be effected.” She’s standing closer now, and Hikaru catches the scent of something on the air- some sort of flowery perfume. Jim stumbles, and Hikaru slows his pace for his benefit.
“Are you okay?” He breathes.
Jim doesn’t respond.
Breaking Artblock | Part 18
Princess And The Pauper AU, drawn last year. Mudd’s is a clothing store, in case the mannequinns in the window are too ambiguous (because Mudd has been known to employ androids in the past).
Breaking Artblock | part 8
Sulu flips open his communicator, but it doesn’t respond. “Enterprise, come in.” There’s a low chirp as it tries and fails to connect. “Enterprise-”
Jim places a hand to his chest. He can’t breathe.
“Jim?”
He’s shaking all over, shivering as if he’s just been plunged into a frozen lake.
Sulu’s mouth forms around the words ‘what’s wrong?’, and, if it makes a noise, Jim doesn’t hear it. Everything sounds as if it’s underwater. In a moment, Hikaru wraps an arm around him, pulling him closer, not caring that it causes Jim’s tricorder to knock against his hip, dangling at his side, discarded by its strap.
Jim makes and incomprehensible sound as Sulu presses a hand to the back of his neck.
“It’s okay,” he says, though his voice holds a note of uncertainty. “Jim. You’re okay.” He pulls away for a second, long enough to disentangle them from the strap, and sets both of their tricorders on the ground.
Jim lets out a long, shuddering breath, and tries to forget their surroundings. For a second he succeeds, as the world shrinks down to just the two of them: Sulu’s hand on the small of his neck, as the other rubs circles into his back.
“This is private property.” A high voice cuts through the air, and through his thoughts.
Jim tenses, his muscles all primed to push himself away from Sulu, but something holds him back.
He recognises that voice.
