brba would not work in the 1800s because back then waldrip and jessimer would be valued and respected laudanum salesmen peddling their miracle cures and putting it in baby food and stuff

My whole family during the "I am the danger" monologue:
Dear Reptile Side of Tumblr: A Breaky Bad Question
Hello Tumblr! I am a reptile enthusiast, and while I don't have any of my own, due to not being able to commit to proper housing and care of such glorious creatures, I used to do demos with them at a children's science museum. I have had a bearded dragon climb my back and necessitate outside removal, to the glee of first-graders, I have disentangled a snek from a desk, and I sang You Are My Sunshine many, many times to Euclid, a fine crestie who always licked his eye on cue, bless him to be an angel with scaly wings in Heaven. I feel safe in saying I have some proficiency with cold-blooded creatures.
Despite all of that, I have come across a reptile I have never heard of but my sister attests fully to. Video evidence here:
This tortoise, seen in episode 2x7 of the TV series Breaking Bad (Negro y Azul), has properties I simply am not familiar with in herpetology. Specifically, my sister has identified it as a "Mexican Burrowing Tortoise". This behavior is shown when the tortoise, having been mildly accosted by DEA agents, produced what would seem to be a chemical explosion like that of a bombardier beetle, and in the same moment, used the confusion to burrow "far away" at great speeds. Amazing!
I am absolutely sure @mycupofstars would not lie to me to save my tender heart from the consideration of an exploding turt. The Mexican Burrowing Tortoise must be real! Despite that, I can't seem to find much information on this astounding species. Can anyone here give me facts and information about this clever creature?
TIA, have a turt-ally awesome day! 🐢🙏🕳️
