Milk normally only starts to come in the last few months before birth, but it can be stimulated to start years earlier, and some dragon knights take great pride in early lactation.
Breast growth tends to happen throughout, however, like the pregnancy starting slow - it'll be a few years before you really start to notice - but by the end their tits are quite ample handfuls. Those that have started producing early grow faster, their tits nearly as massive and cumbersome as their ripening belly; they sometimes "suffer" from milk constantly flowing as they're squeezed under their own weight, and you'll need at least two hands to lift a single breast.
Sometimes drinking games are made of trying to empty a dragon knight's teats, with prizes for those who last the longest; the winners are always bloated enough to be mistaken for a pregnant knight themselves. A dragon knight who's still full even after all the participants are done is considered a truly legendary knight.
