Jay Z x Bred IV x 1989
For decades, Jordan Brand has continued to retro their most important releases, from the Air Jordan 2 “Chicago” to the Air Jordan 11 “Concord.” Save for differences in the way of shape and quality, many of these have remained faithful to the original. Today, however, the Jumpman have begun tweaking the very essence of these past classics, shining them through a variety of lenses as part of the “Reimagined” series. And following in the footsteps of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3 is none other than the Air Jordan 4, which is rumored to be delivering the “Bred Reimagined” in 2024.
The Air Jordan 1 “Lost & Found” and upcoming Air Jordan 3 “White Cement Reimagined” have set a rather inaccurate precedent, as many now liken the “Reimagined” name to pre-yellowed midsoles and vintage-inspired touches. This will not continue to be the case with subsequent offerings, though, as the previously-leaked Air Jordan 1 “Royal Reimagined” is expected to arrive in suede construction.
At the time of writing this, not much is known about the design of the Air Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined.” But being the collection’s first instance of said silhouette, it’s possible that Jordan Brand will make use of the aged aesthetic once again. For now, sit tight and stay tuned for further updates. We have a long way to go until the rumored March 2024 release.
