The show will depict the adventures of multiple Green Lanterns, including Alan Scott, Guy Gardner, Simon Baz, Jessica Cruz, and an original character

The original character is named Bree Jarta

Bree Jarta is half alian

Bree Jarta‘s half-alien heritage will be shown through her abilities, such as super-hearing

Sinestro & Kilowog will also appear

The first season is expected to be 10 episodes

Each episode is around an hour

The show will be split into three separate timelines. The 1940s, the 1980s, and the 'present’

Alan Scott will be the protagonist of the 1940 period

Guy Gardner and Bree Jarta are the protagonists of the 1980 period

Simon Baz & Jessica Cruz will be the protagonists of the ‘present’ period

Simon Baz & Jessica Cruz will be partners but their partnership is different from the comics since it’s Jessica mentoring Simon in the show

Jessica will get her ring before Simon does

Guy Gardner and Bree Jarta will be facing the Dominators in their part of the show

Filming is so far set to be in April 2021

Finn Wittrock Joins HBO Max’s “Green Lantern” Series

Finn Wittrock will star in HBO Max’s Green Lantern series as Guy Gardner. The show describes Guy as “a hulking mass of masculinity, and, as rendered in the comics, an embodiment of 1980s hyper-patriotism. And yet, Guy is somehow likable.” (DC Comics)

HBO Max’s Green Lantern series will feature a multitude of Green Lanterns spanning decades. The show’s logline reads: “Green Lantern reinvents the classic DC property through a story spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott, and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner (Wittrock) and half-alien Bree Jarta. They’ll be joined by a multitude of other Lanterns—from comic book favorites to never-before-seen heroes.”
