do you have any recs for the early (~90s) european screamo scene (esp eastern) that aren't super metalcorey? It's ok if it's a little bit bremencore but not too much
omg my first ask i'm so honored... this is honestly a niche im not super familiar with since i focus so much on bremencore, my 90s screamo knowledge is very tiny in comparison to my 90s metalcore knowledge. i don't want to be completely useless however, so i'll link some rym lists that might have what u r looking for

Akephal - So Lange
Akephal were a German band that fell under the title of Bremencore, a style of music that merged screamo/emo, metalcore and crust. their s/t album is an essential listen for anyone into any type of hardcore imo.
