Cartoon Heroes Paper Cut-Outs
Home Movies
Created by Brendon Small and Loren Bouchard, Homes Movies is an animated sitcom that centers on an eight-year-old aspiring filmmaker, also named Brendon Small, who makes homemade film productions in his spare time with his friends Melissa Robbins and Jason Penopolis. He lives with his divorced mother Paula and his adopted baby sister Josie. He develops a skewed father-son-like relationship with his alcoholic, short-tempered soccer coach, John McGuirk.
Home Movies premiered on UPN in April of 1999. The show was cancelled after only five episodes due to low ratings. Cartoon Network purchased the rights to the series, seeing potential in it and Home Movies premiered as the first original program on their nighttime adult-oriented Adult Swim block launching in September of 2001. It proved a hot, garnering a cult following and running for four seasons. The ensemble cast included Brendon Small, H. Jon Benjamin, Paula Poundstone, Janine Ditullio and Melissa Bardin Galsky.
My first iPad drawing
I can't believe what I'm seeing
Part 2 [see Part 1] of my favorite Charles panels from Dark Horse's Metalocalypse three-part mini-series and the Dethklok vs. The Goon one-shot (circa 2011):
Panel 1-3 + 5-6: Neither Charles nor Pickles want to be anywhere near Dethklok's brand spankin' new but also somehow already haunted Dethtrain;
Panel 4: Mashed Potato Johnson has a favor to ask of Dethklok, in return for his help with managing their collective depression in "Bluesklok" (1x14);
Panel 7: "Butt-horns" is one of Facebones' nicer terms of endearment;
Panel 8: The band marinates in existential angst wrt what other people will do with their music when they're all dead while Toki thumbs through what I assume to be the latest issue of Pussy Lovers magazine;
Panel 9: I won't ever be over this flawless parody of most Tribunal exchanges that also functions as a legitimate Tribunal exchange;
Panel 10: Charles always carries copious amounts of hand sanitizer on his person, which makes him @thortwenty151's mom.
I went to the Charlotte, NC Dethklok concert, and had such a blast!! I didn't get any show pics because I was so invested, but I did manage to make it into all 3 bands' photos♡♡
Brendan was so nice!! I showed him my Facebones locket, my Charles tattoo, and even got a hug♡
Also mandatory merch haul pic!
"They both have I think, the biggest collection of sweatpants than any other human I know."
I've grown to love this show over the years.
I got to see my favorite fictional band live yesterday!
