Personal Brief - Photoshoot

Concept: From a person that wears sports clothes to a guy that looks strong in smart clothes with the help of this watch. In time you can be this person from being this person. 

Location: I will be shooting in the studio as this unit is studio based. 

Lighting: I will be trying out different lighting effects from soft light to hard lighting and different styles like split lighting and rembrandt lighting. 

Equipment/props: Digital Camera, tripod, white backdrop, flash lights, watch, a hat, a chair and a sync lead. 

Model: A male model - young adult. 2 sets of clothing: sports and Smart wear.

mood & atmosphere: Strong, dominate and cool. 

Influences: Photographers Chris Davis - who has photographed mens fashion and Terence Donovan - who photographs objects i.e. earrings but together within a portrait.

Fashion Brand

Brand: Lorus + Watches 

I will be changing the advertisement of Lorus watch campaign to a whole different style. I want the ad and my photographs to come at strong and powerful. Advertisement: ‘when your wearing lorus watches you can achieve high in life’.

Here are some of the watched of the lorus brand already:

What i like about these images and what i want to achieve with my work is the amount of clarity on the watch. I will achieve this with the correct amount of light output from the light source and and the correct camera manual settings. What also can help is post processing and the high pass filter in photoshop.

Unit 26: Studio Fashion Film

Introduction: 

The photography industry in the UK was worth £1.4b in 2014/15. The third largest genre within this sector is Fashion Photography. 

Since the fashion photos rised in the early 1900′s, it has remained as one of the most progressive, creative and controversial sectors within the photographic industry. Fashion photography has has a significant impact upon society during its existence, often reflecting and questioning society's values under the guise of selling clothes. 

Scenario:

Fashion photography by its very nature is a team effort. You are an emerging fashion photographer, focused on making your mark upon the industry. To do this you will need to work within a small collective to produce a series of work. 

You are to visually rebrand a fashion label 2016/17 season. 

You are to develop a unique style and approach your work, drawing inspiration and re-invented upon masters of the past.

The requirements are to produce...

1. A series of fashion images for a given clothing brand

2. A short 40-60 second fashion film or ‘behind the scenes’ video to support you series.
