Cake All Over. | Brevie
A date. Stevie had never realized it, but ever since Bridget and him had first met, he had never taken her on a date; between the fact Sammy had gotten himself in the hospital, and Christopher's return, the pair had never gone out on a date, they had never had the chance to go out and have some fun, just the two of them against the world. Well, today, that was about to change.
Stevie had been thinking about this date for a while; the concept was a little foreign to him, as he had never had to take someone out on a date, before, but he was determined to make this the best first date ever. With that being, he had already arranged with his mother that she was taking Christopher for the day, so Bridget and him could have the entire day to make up for all the dates they hadn't gone on.
Almost immediately after lunch, the boy's mother dropped by his house to pick up his son, and then Stevie took off to the room he shared with his fiancé, a smile on his lips as he went over to the closet and picked up a tiny box, a little gift he'd bought for Bridget. He went back downstairs, then, texting her. "Need you in the living room, come asap."

Stevie was trying hard to hold himself together; he was doing the best he could to keep his soul calm.and collected, but it was hard. With Bridget gone to whatever place she might be, he felt completely deserted; alone, abandoned, even if his son was just on the room next door, sleeping soundlessly for the first time in forever. Stevie lied in bed, his eyes wide ann facing the ceiling as he wondered; where was his girlfriend? Especially now, that he needed her so much? He knew it was his fault that she they had fought, but his mind couldn't even process that, right now; it was mostly focused on what had happened to Sammy, and on the fact he wasn't anywhere - not school, nor his home, nor the cemetery. He was nowhere, and Stevie feared the worst, his breathing a little erratic as he waited for sleep to catch him.

Stevie never saw this day coming. In fact, he had never even thought about the day where he was to meet one of his girlfriend's parents. For once, he had never had many girlfriends, to begin with; casual fucks? Yeah, he used to go all for it, even if, before, his heart had been set on one person solely. But even that one person hadn't posed a problem when they began dating; he had known Sophia since they were young, he already knew her parents.
Bridget's parents? He had no idea who or how they were; he had no idea what they would think of his messy hair and lanky figure, nor did he know what they would think about his clothing style, his tattoos. Most importantly, he had absolutely no fucking idea what they would think of the fact he had a son.
And that's why he paced his living room rapidly, Christopher on his stroller, eyeing him as if he were crazy. "I can feel you judging me, Chris," he spoke to the child, waiting for Bridget to come pick him up. He felt even more nervous to know his girlfriend had to pick him up for this; shouldn't he be able to drive there himself? Shouldn't he even know how to drive?

If there was a thing Stevie knew, was that he loved his son to death. He knew it because of numerous things, that he dared not to think about as he looked at the little boy sleeping; however, he also knew that he needed a small break. With that in mind, the boy looked at all of the other cribs in the daycare he was leaving his son in, smiling a little, and then walked off.
When he got outside, he sighed a little, his mind torn up about this; he was scared of ever having Christopher out of his eyesight, but he knew that he couldn't keep him with him at all times - the boy would probably grow too tired of his face and start crying. Trying to keep that in mind, he walked quickly to the one room he hadn't been in, all of this time. Knocking, he waited for the door to open, a smile on his lips.

Stevie hadn't been in the best of moods, as of lately; and he knew anyone could tell. After having spoken to his father, however, the sadness that he had tried to contain had just spilled over; it was hard to smile when he felt so hated. He was glad he had his friends to be there for him, though; he was glad he had Bridget.
As he waited for the girl to arrive, he sat on his living room - which he had bothered to clean, out of boredom - his white fluffy dog sleeping right next to him. He loved the little thing, even if he had taken to not let him sleep, at night; he was still perfect. He only ever got up from his position when he heard his doorbell go off, and he felt Zero follow him as he skipped down the hallway to open the door. "Hey, baby."
