Are you three-tenning me?
Meetings, Weddings, Celebrations and Events of any kind can be held at the Allentown Brew Works.
I like beer
I am slightly drunk and home much later than I should be. Oh well. Wonderful evening. Served my first solo shift with very few fuck-ups and (yes, shallow) made almost $140 in tips! Karaoke and some old friends this evening. Time spent chatting with Steven, Dallas and the staff. Real short skirt may have helped some, but definitely a great night!

Day 19 - a song from your favorite album
Alltime favorite? Current favorite? Favorite from my favorite band? Let's go with the last one. I think it would be "On the Bus Mall" from the Decemberists' Picaresque. I don't care that the song is about male prostitutes, that line "we're kings among runaways" will always strike a chord.
Trained
I am officially a fully trained server at BBW now. Hooray! Exhausted after 12 nonstop hours on my feet, but definitely feel like i can handle this now, especially because unlike all my other food service jobs i can now drink when i'm done. Also was hit on by two quite attractive older men, one bearing a striking resemblance to the beautiful John Barrowman (but straight) who bought me a beer. Definitely a good ego boost, plus one less beer to pay for!!!

Day 18 - a song that you wish you heard on the radio
"What's a Girl Got to Do?" by Basement Jaxx feat. Paloma Faith. It's definitely my favorite song of the moment.
Tickled
Tickle Me Tuesday at ABW. Very entertaining. Space monkey helps. long long day. probs gonna be a long long week. i impulse-bought lots of chocolate. hooray! (my wallet says boo, but i'mma ignore it). om nom nom. X Files again this evening. The 90s were funny. I should have practiced tonight. wonder if I would play my piano pieces better tipsy...? Note to self: try in future?

Day 14 - a song that no one would expect you to love
I've been looking ahead and thinking about this for a while, because my musical taste is so diverse. I'm gonna go ahead and say that not many people who know me would expect me to like Charles Ives' "The Housatonic at Stockbridge" from Three Places in New England. Not that I don't like 20th century music, but bitonality and serialism, etc is really not my thing. Totally love that song thought! That and his "Unanswered Question."
Wheeheehee
I'm drunk. I was tipsy when I left, but sometime between talking to Steven outside his apartment and now I have become drunk. Funsies. Trained this evening! Had a good night, did a couple tables pretty much solo. Kind of like student teaching: six months observing, a couple days co-serving and then bam, I'm on my own. I think I'll be pretty ok when I start. There's always someone to ask my dumb question of. ...Rapidly falling asleep. CONCENTRATE! Anyway. Had a nice night serving and got to hang out with my Monday night boys downstairs after work. So definitely a good evening.

Day 13 - a song that is a guilty pleasure
Anything by Ke$ha. She's really just terrible, but everything is so catchy! Particularly thinking of "We R Who We R." Great and awful at the same time.
First Shift
Tonight was my first shift training on the floor at work. I actually handled a table almost entirely by myself with no mishaps! Granted, they were a very laid-back, easy table, but I'm still super proud of myself! Had an enjoyable time training with Steven and as always, lots of laughter with the staff after hours downstairs. Pleasantly buzzed :)

Day 07 - a song that reminds you of a certain event
"Good Riddance" by Green Day. High school graduation. Dorky choral arrangement that I still sing the harmonies of when it's on the radio.
Performance and Choreo
Had a flute troupe performance this afternoon. A bit ironic to be playing "Winter" on the first day of spring, but watevs. Best I've played our pieces yet! Also did my April schedule for work and have lots more days I can work so I will be training to serve within the next few weeks!! Put my choreography up with costumes tonight. It just keeps getting better and better and I'm totally excited for the concert next weekend!
