[closed starter for @brewedbythevoid - SAD OLD MEN HAVE AWKWARD DAY]
It took a moment for Semi to recollect himself, as the travelling of timelines always left him disoriented. It was hardly something he made a habit of--electing only to jump when he felt that his destination could possibly wield something in the way of helpful information. Maybe wherever he ended up was further along in their research on the barrier, or perhaps had even broken through...whatever he could find, he’d use.
It was evident when he cleared the treeline, however, that he was getting much more than he bargained for.
Everything in this timeline seemed...different, for lack of a better word. More so than usual. Sure, he’d arrived in Snowdin--but this was unlike any other he’d seen. It was as if everything was...shifted. There was hardly a thing he recognized.
Semi kept his eyes peeled as he walked, sparing quick glances at the monsters bustling about. If nothing else, this trip was at least making for an excellent example of the universe’s diversity...
So it was a small comfort when a quick upward glance brought him to the attention of what he recognized as a restaurant. It...wasn’t Grillby’s, as he was accustomed to seeing...but if nothing else, he could at least get information inside.
The comfort, however, vanished as soon as he pushed open the door. The monster behind the bar was the first thing he noticed--and for a reason he couldn’t pinpoint, their features immediately filled him with regret. They looked familiar in some capacity...but hell if he could figure out why. That bothered him even more, but he quickly shook it off, not wanting to draw attention to himself by standing in the doorway and letting in cold air.
Semi reluctantly pulled back his face guard and hood as he approached the bar, his chivalry triumphing over his want to remain hidden. He may be cold, but he was not disrespectful.
“Hello,” He spoke up, just loud enough to be able to be heard over the patrons’ chatter. “I was wondering something...”
