Milwaukee is an awesome city!
Whether you make it your destination or happen to be passing by, you won’t regret taking the time to check it out.
With it’s many breweries, restaurants, bars, historic buildings and markets you are sure to be entertained for the duration of your visit.
You will be pleasantly surprised by this mid-western town that is secretly cool, even though their claims to fame are cheese and bowling.
Below I have listed a few if my favourite hot spots. And feel free to comment if you have any suggestions to add.
Where to stay The Milwaukee Athletic Club Great downtown location, great price. Yes it needs updating but for the most part it is just fine.
Where to Eat The Public Market Delicious fresh food options and a great place to buy some cheese. Since you are in the cheese state and all.
Restaurant Patios along the river Milwaukee has a river running through it and there are lots of walking paths and patios that line the boardwalk.
What to do: Harley Davidson Museum- Even entertaining for girls! and they always have a special exhibit which is a bonus Lakefront brewery – 7$ for a tour, souvenir glass and 4 samples of beer Brewers Game at Miller Park -ask a local which bars provide a free shuttle to the game, we used Catch 22 right behind the hotel The Fonz Statue – ya gotta do it Roof top Patio at the Milwaukee athletic club – great views for dinner or a night cap, summer only
