Boyfriend’s mom is starting radiation for her liver cancer today. I’m not 100% sure what she’s having done, but based on what Boyfriend has told me and some Googling, I think she’s getting Radioembolization. So I’m spending my afternoon reading all about it and trying not to cry at my desk.

Anyway, good vibes, positive energy, happy thoughts, and/or prayers would be appreciated. Thanks, friends. <3

So, I may or may not be able to confirm that I am, in fact, now in a relationship with a pretty awesome guy...

About a million years ago (or like 2 months) I posted a couple of times about this guy at work who I thought I might have a crush on, and then this guy at work who I was about to go on a first date with.  Then I stopped posting, which is usually the case when it comes to personal posts and nothing in my life needs to be vented about. 

But then a friend mentioned she hadn’t heard anything about this guy on Tumblr and she’d been wondering what was up, so I thought I would give you all a good-news update for once in my Tumblr using life. ;)  

He and I have been officially dating for about a month now and I don’t think I could be happier.  I have never known someone (especially a guy) to be so respectful, understanding, caring, compassionate, and just good as he is.  I was clear with him from the start about my issues with boundaries and past unhealthy relationship, and he has been so intentional about constantly getting my consent and checking in with me about everything.  Even stuff that doesn’t immediately strike you as stuff someone would get consent for.  He gets consent.

And it’s been amazing.  Best of all, I feel safe with him.  Let me repeat that one more time... I feel SAFE with him.  

Seriously, you all.  I did not know this was possible.  He continues to blow my mind with the simplest of actions that, looking back are obviously normal behaviors for a healthy relationship, but seem so new and foreign to me.  I am so not used to experiencing a relationship like that. 

And it’s great.  It is absolutely great. :)

Now back to my regularly scheduled venting and political posts.  Which are typically one-in-the-same these days. Lord help us.

I got to spend Friday, Saturday, and half of Sunday reveling in glorious alone time. Then boyfriend came over and we spent the rest of the weekend together. I woke up today walking on air. 

I am refreshed. I am restored. And I am loved. It’s a wonderful place to be.

Good thoughts, calming energy, prayers, whatever you’ve got would be super appreciated today. I’ve got a date with the first guy I’ve felt (as) safe around (as I think is possible for me) in years and my anxiety is through the roof, even after an anxiety med. Not fun. I can handle the nerves, I just don’t want to get sick and have to cancel. Thanks, Internet (and IRL) friends. 💛
