Thoughts on Cutthroat Kitchen returning?
I'm excited for all of it!
I've missed the show but wish it wasn't Brian Malarkey hosting
No strong opinions
I plan to skip it

Some observations about the reboot of cutthroat kitchen
In the Og series, I genuinely believed Alton Brown was a Little Freak and I loved and respected him for it.
Brian Malarkey as host is like his try-hard younger brother. I don't believe his freak, but I do think I will grow to like him. There are some nice homages to Big Brother Alton, and he is trying So Hard.
It took me 6 episodes to decide that I like the New structer. The themes are fun and give the chefs more flexibility for interpretation. Interpretation is all the rage these days on cooking shows
I miss The Bobs. They only have one PA now, he rarely appears, and the gimmick is his Legal Name is Harry Potter. You see his face, they say his name, he disappears. No Bobs fun and shenanigans
I dont like that after the results of each round, the judges get to learn what the saboteurs were up to. I'd rather they remained ignorant or at least waited till the very end of the episode
The Sabotages themselves are pretty mild, mostly revovling around heat source, taking away cutlery, odd ingredients, and switch-ups. It reminds me of early seasons of the original series and I anticipate it'll mirror a similar progression into the bizarre as the series continues into new seasons.
I'll keep watching it
This is definitely a campaign promise I can get behind.

Chef Lee Anne Wong describing Chef Brian Malarkey for episode 6 of “Top Chef All-Stars” (2020)
Born on September 26, 1972, Brian Malarkey pursued his dream to be a chef by studying culinary arts in Culinary Institute in Portland. The 48-year-old has hands all over the place in the hospitality industry, including the highly rated, Herb & Eatery and Searsucker and Herringbone. He tied the knot with photographer Chantelle Marie.

Double Life
Emilio De Soto is not only the Maestro Tequilero of overproof tequila Dos Almas blanco and its stablemate, Dos Almas Cinnamon Liqueur, but he is also the founder of a sportswear company.
Following a severe surfing accident, Emilio was inspired by water polo competitors and swimmers while enduring his own grueling physical therapy. Eventually, De Soto became a competitive triathlete.

Friendly reminder that Troy Johnson once gave Brian Malarkey a bad review and Brian brings it up every time they judge together on Guy’s Grocery Games which honestly is what true friendship is all about.
