So did you not post my Song headcanon because it was too dark?
I think at the point you posted it the post contained spoilers. So we just haven't gotten around to it yet (we're trying to avoid spoilers as much as possible.

What I really like about the Fortuneteller episode is that it deals with one of the main themes of the show, the theme of destiny, and very accurately depicts the show's message that you do have a destiny, but the only person that can determine what it is is you. You and you alone have power over what your destiny is. I think that's a great message and this episode teaches it well.
I tend to think of that episode more as you have a destiny, but you also have the power to shape it. It’s something a bit too spoilery to get into at the moment, but as the fortune teller said, you actively have power over the world around you, even if it seems like you do not.

So what I noticed is that these early episodes have a lot more cartoony movements and facial features than the later series and Korra, which seem to be more streamlined and rigid, like anime. *sarcasm mode activate* It's almost like the show was only inspired by anime and not trying to mimic it. *sarcasm mode deactivate*
I always love going back to the first season because of this actually, it's kind of a reminder of how successful the show became and how much more funding it got as it progressed. I also remember watching the first episode of Korra and being blown away by the animation quality, they got a lot of funding for Korra for sure and it honestly warms my heart to know the show was so sucessful.

Okay, as much as I love the show, I have to point something out. So that scene when Appa sneezes on Sokka. First of all, FUCKING HILARIOUS OH MY GOD STILL DO THIS DAY XD. But then we see a shot of his whole side covered in it, then a more detailed shot of him stringing it from his face to his hand. THEN IN THE VERY NEXT SOKKA SHOT HE'S PERFECTLY CLEAN. I guess Sokka found some time off screen to wash his coat and pants in like, 1.5 seconds.
Ah the magics of animation right? Maybe he went for a quick swim, I know I would if I were covered in flying bison snot. haha

So I just want to clear a little thing up. What EXACTLY is the purpose of this? Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited and I love the show. I'm just not 100% clear on the purpose. Is it to inspire new fan creations? Get new fans into the show? Please explain.
I’m glad you asked! The purpose of this group is to bring something from our past back for everyone to enjoy!
True, anyone can re-watch the show at any point in time that they want by themselves, but what we’re trying to do is bring the a:tla fandom back to life and to enjoy this show that inspired so many people in a group again. Personally speaking having a community to discuss the episodes with again sounds amazing. In addition Mod X really loved the idea of getting a massive group of people to re-watch it together to re-create the community that the show used to have and Viola! This blog was born!
So in answer to your questions; Yes! The purpose of this blog is to not only bring back the show, but to also encourage fans and friends alike to create fanart, cosplay, fanfiction and more to really revive the community. The goal is also to hopefully find some new people who weren’t around, or didn’t have time, or weren’t interested when the show was on TV and give them an opportunity to enjoy the show and become a part of a community. The rebirth of a fandom, if you will.
Hopefully that answered your question! Feel free to ask more specific ones if you need any more clarification! Also you can check out the about page as well!

How would you react if Zhu Li said she had a crush on you?
"Kinda like this."
