Hi! 😊 Just wanted to let you know the last gifset you posted of Belle is from Beauty and the Beast, not from The Enchanted Christmas. You tagged it under the latter movie. Love the blog, hope you're having a wonderful day! 💕
Hi - thank you for catching that! I’m usually on mobile posting so I probably hit the wrong tag. Got it fixed!
Happy Birthday, Moira!!! 😄😆😊😘 I hope you're having a wonderful day! 🎆🎇✨🎈🎉🎁🎊🎀🎂
Thank you, Rosie! 😁 I can’t go anywhere due to the pandemic, but I have ways to make the day a good one right from home. 😉
From the looks of your blog, you make me think of Ariel. You seem like a fun, light-hearted but also strong and determined person. And the hue of your blog's layout reminds me of her pink dress.
This is a good description of me. I was thinking today that I wanted to makeover my blog to be more light-hearted. Exact words. I wanted light and comfort for me and others to find here.
I do have a collection of knick-knacks. The Bullseye Playground (or is playpen?) at Target is pretty much where you can find me squealing and buying there $1- $5 dollars knick-knacks.
Also, Prince Eric ( also, Philip and Eugene) are my favorite Disney princes. I just .... yeah.
Thank you, Rose!
Hi, dear! I really love your blog. :) May I have a Disney look alike, please? I’ve always been curious what Disney characters I look like.
I would most like to get a heroine, princess, fairy or face character but I don’t really mind getting a villain either.
As for my personality, most people around me think I’m pretty odd, I’m very introverted and my family thinks I’m shy but I can also speak my mind when I need to. I’m curious, creative, kind and bookish. My likes include animated films, fairy tales and fantasy stories and movies, Literature, English, Philosophy, art, music and daydreaming and dislikes cruelty, anxiety, rudeness and disrespect.
Hope this is enough, thank you very much and have a very nice day! ^^

Hi lovely!
For your fairy and heroine/princess you remind me of a mix between the art-talent fairy, Bess from the old Disney fairy books and Melody from the Little Mermaid 2. In the parks I think you would make a cute Anastasia from Cinderella.
Thank you so much for submitting! Have a magical day! ♥
If you want a Disney lookalike, submit your photo here.
@briarosabelle Thank you so much for your opinion! I’m glad to actually have a honest opinion about this username change. I love them both too and I’m going to do just that. :) By the way, I love your new username. <3 It was an excellent choice.
Yeah, I’m probably like 90% Belle, then Elsa. These two are the ones I can relate most too. From the others I have parts but they’re not as relateble for me as the first two. And don’t worry, you don’t have to do it, just if you want and find it fun to do it again. :)
Happy Birthday, dearest! 😊😄😆😘 Hope you're really enjoying your day. 🎊🎉🎈✨🎆🎇🎂
Thank you ♥ I am! For the first time in forever I’m getting my favorite cake, chocolate with mint mousse (no, it doesn’t taste like toothpaste, and no, I’m not taking criticism right now).
I’m a little sad that I cannot see my siblings and my nephews, but I’m having a good day, mentally speaking, so I’m satisfied.
Disney Princesses as Jane Austen heroines? The only post I've seen drawing comparisons between them said Fanny Price was most like Tiana when they have very little in common imo. I think she might be most like Cinderella, if not as assertive. I would love to know your opinion.
The rest of the "cast" in that post I mentioned was as follows: Snow White as Kitty Bennet, Cinderella as Harriet Smith, Aurora as Jane Bennet, Ariel as Marianne Dashwood, Belle as Elizabeth Bennet (obviously), Jasmine as Emma Woodhouse, Pocahontas as Catherine Morland, Mulan as Jane Fairfax and Rapunzel as Margaret Dashwood. I wonder what you think of this comparison.
Hi! I’m so so so so sorry it took me this long to answer. Shame on me.
It is tricky to draw parallels. I think it is easier to draw parallels between the structure of the stories. For example, yes, Beauty and the Beast and Pride and Prejudice and notoriously, Frozen and Sense and Sensibility.
The Fanny Price = Tiana thing can only come from someone who didn’t read the novel and only watched the 1999 movie. If I were to choose a Disney princess that reflected Fanny Price, that would be Cinderella, exactly as you say. Something similar happens with Margaret Dashwood and Rapunzel. Margaret doesn’t really have much character in the novel, so the characterization the author is thinking of comes from the 1996 movie (And Andrew Davies’ rip-off in 2008)
The one I think is spot on is Aurora as Jane Bennet. I find interesting the Jasmine = Emma, Mulan = Jane Fairfax and Ariel = Marianne.
If I were the one choosing... It depends on which side you are trying to fill (either Austen characters to match the princesses or princesses to match Austen characters).
Catherine Morland: I don’t see Pocahontas in her. I’d choose either Ariel or Rapunzel.
Lizzy Bennet: here is something that is a pet peeve of mine: Lizzy Bennet is not a bookworm. I repeat, she’s not a bookworm. Joe Wright Belleified her character. The thing Belle and her have in common is they love their fathers (and the general trope of their stories). Lizzie is outdoorsy, she loves long walks and sightseeing. My choice would be between Jane from Tarzan and Pocahontas.
Jane Bennet: Aurora, no doubt.
Eleanor Dashwood: Elsa. Don’t kill me, I know she’s not really that wise, but Frozen rips off so much from Austen story that it leaves me no option.
Marianne Dashwood: Anna. Ditto.
Fanny Price: as I said above, Cinderella or maybe Snow White.
Emma Woodhouse: I see the parallels the article found and they are clever: handsome, clever, rich, naive, cares for her father, etc. But Emma is meddlesome and scheming and Jasmine is not. I don’t think there’s a Disney princess that fits closer. You would have to throw in some of Gisselle too.
Jane Fairfax: I like the secret part they see as something in common with Mulan, but I think Jane is closer to Tiana, in that she isn’t afraid of hard work, and in fact spent her whole life working hard to make her family proud and keep a place with the Campbells. But not really one that bears a very close resemblance.
Anne Elliot: the hardest of them all XD Older princess? Withered beauty? Abused by her family? Love interest makes her suffer because of her refusal? She does have some similarities with Elinor, so maaaybe Elsa too... or Megara? with some Kira thrown in the middle?, but it is such a looooong stretch that... meh. I did want Disney to take the remake of B&tB as an opportunity to have an older Belle that has had no suitors other than Gaston and that fears for her future, when her father dies, which would have been a far more realistic feminine problem at the place and time setting of the story than “we don’t want women to read”. But Disney executives don’t listen to me XD
What do you think?
