The person sitting next to me in class noticed the big black "X" on my right hand and asked if I was at Two Door Cinema Club's show last night and I said yes. We briefly talked about how great it was and introduced ourselves to one another. Little does he know that I've already gone through his Instagram and twitter. Exposing yourself to the Internet makes it so easy for the whole world to see everything you are doing or writing. I recently did a search of myself on Google and only found my linkedin profile. I consider this a success because if any employee were to potentially search for me, they would find the only Internet profile that is not incriminating.
G: Why are you standing back here??
SF: I prefer standing to sitting (during worship). Very brief pause. G: You're crazy. SF: You're standing here too. G: No, haha. Not about that. Last night. Today. Driving all the way how last night and coming back today. SF: Oh. Chuckles. Well, a lot of people here mean a lot to me. G: Ahhh. And you mean a lot to a lot of people here. SF pauses. SF: Thank you.
This was by far one of my favorite moments from this weekend. It was an extremely brief conversation, a quiet one. But...these were genuine statements and everything aligned quite well with the personalities present. It could have unfolded in no other way.
