  This was recorded in 2004 and is the second piece in a set I have taken from this song cycle.

This movement comes in sharp contrast to the first. "Green" immerses one in the heady scent of love; in "Spleen" it feels rather like one is about to lose one's head. Honestly it's a bit of a jolt (you can listen to them as a set here), and by the end I always feel like I'm going to burst from the intensity of it. This particular song is one of my absolute favorites to perform; I have always enjoyed music that requires me to put myself in a state of near-madness. xD
