ONCE
"John?" She said. He peered out the window. "JOHN!" Vriska yelled. He looked confused. She flew up and opened his window. "Come down!" He just gaped in shock.
"Do I know you?" He asked. Her heart sank. He wasn't her John. She sat on the windowsill.
"Another you did, once."
"I'm not alpha me?" She smiled. He was so clueless.
"I hope not, Egbert!" She said. "It would be a shame if alpha you died!" How couldn't he tell? Alpha had training from her. She liked to think that's why he was alive. He just looked at her funny. "No." She said finally.
"Are you alpha you?" He asked. Her back gave an involuntary twinge. If she focused she could feel where the blade went in. She didn't focus much.
"Yeah."
"What's your name?"
"Vriska Serket."
"Well, Vriska," he said. "What were you to me?"
"We were friends, once." She thought. Probably. Maybe more. Maybe less.
"Was that why you were so excited to see me?" He asked.
"Yeah." John thought for a minute. "Have you seen Con Air with Nic Cage?"
"The other you sent me a scene one time. I liked it a lot."
"Wanna see the whole movie?" He knew it would be weird to have this alien girl who knew another him in, but it got lonely out there. He couldn't die again, right?
"Sure." She said. "Can I just climb in?" He nodded and step back. Her wings retracted.
123 minutes later, Vriska turned to the boy.
"Why'd you let me in?" She asked. "You don't know me."
"We were friends once. Why'd you look for me?"
"We were friends once."
