Reading “Bright Still” as it came out when I first got into the fandom is 100% the reason I started shipping Megastar - it’s still one of mu favorites to go back and re-read. Have you thought about playing around more in that universe, or with the arranged marriage trope in general?

I'd love to play around more in the Bright Still universe, but I don't really have any more ideas for it.

Arranged marriage as a trope is probably one of my all time favourite though, so I'll definitely write more of it in the future.

LOL! Soundwave would kill Cloud Tread, then swaddle Starscream up and take him home in a sling because his chest compartment isn't spacey enough for the new "child". Starscream would be too shocked to say anything. I vote Soundwave too!

Starscream would shiv Soundwave if he tried but that's what Soundwave loves most about him. He's plucky. And homicidal. Like all the cassettes Soundwave ends up with

In Bright Still Starscream is sold to Decepticons but it's for the best and he doesn't just get a powerful, loving husband but does something to Soundwave's parental instinct too. People comment they hope Megatron's going to make Vos pay for what they have done and I agree but I think Soundwave won't spare those who hurt his new son. Starscream needs some parental love. poor thing never had it.

First vote cast towards Soundwave off'ing Cloud Tread! Love this idea <3

Okay, there's something about Bright Still that keeps coming back to me: I really want to know the story behind that sheet in the beginning of the latest chapter. :)

Imagine you're some lower ranking shmuck, about to settle down for the night in whatever overcrowded barracks you've been shoved into, only for Megatron himself to come barging in and loudly ask the entire room, "Are any of you planning on having sex tonight?"

And Megatron turns to the nearest mech and orders them to hand over their sheets first thing in the morning and then leaves with no explanation whatsoever.

And that's it. That's the story.

Okay instead of just outright killing them megatron has cloudtread+trine apprehended, and orders them executed. Starscream is pissed until megatron takes his face in hands and asks star if he really thought he would let anyone else but star be their executioner

I'm sorry but now I've been struck by the thought of a smitten Megatron squishing his angry murder bird's little face between his massive hands and that is so cute

Just caught up on Bright Still. I wasn't as happy at my own wedding as I am when Megatron and Starscream get married in your fanfics! ;DD They need to get married more often. Their tarnish wedding was the best though.

Weddings are awesome! And Tarnish weddings double so.

The better the Tarnish wedding the less someone should be able to remember it.

You don't have to answer if it spoils too much and I know it's too early to wonder but I'm curious if there will be a baby in Bright Still.
