Brian empieza con una cita de Sebald: ” I do not believe that these men sit by the sea all day and all night so as not to miss the flounder rise or the cod come in to shallower waters, as they claim. They just want to be in a place where they have the world behind them, and before them nothing but emptiness.” The ring of Saturn, W.G. Sebald.

Melbourne's Jaye Kranz is the musical mastermind -- singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer -- behind Brighter Later, a collaborative outfit that released 2013's The Wolves, an exquisite album nominated for the Australian Music Prize. We called it a collection of "songs hushed, unhurried and meticulously crafted with slo-mo intimacy, each melody laid out with care and burnished with intricate detail." Now Kranz, along with BL cohorts Virginia Bott and Patrick Dunn and various studio guests, presents the "Brace," the ethereal lead track from a forthcoming 2015 sophomore effort (title, date TBA).
