One of my (?) regulars came in today. He was telling me about how he was making burgers for his son and I told him how I was super hungry and surrounded by food. He told me he also made a spinach salad and that he would bring me one, just give him an hour and a half. I laughed and said okay, as long as it's before I leave. He returned exactly an hour later with a container of salad, one of dressing, and a baggy of croutons. He insisted the dressing be heated for 45 seconds and eaten on a plate- "I don't care about the fuckin' containers. Just promise me you'll use a plate. It'll get soggy otherwise." He has given me snacks in the past, but only those he had just purchased. It was delicious. #brightsides
